  • What have I blown?

Having continuous cycling with our lane 23, after going through the usual reset buttons, solenoid twist plug, worked out it was electrical, no breaks in the wires, so came to conclusion it was the time delay, which is the board one, I swapped it out with a solid state? one, thinking they both work the same, machine ran fine, for about 6 cycles then once turned off, then back on, it went back to cycling. I stuck the solid state one back on original lane, that now doesn't go.

But last night I checked to make sure there was no break in the #20 wire that comes off the TDM, well I must not have screwed it back into the twist plug receptical tight enough, as it's fallen off, just gone to turn machine on, and POP! it's shorted out on the turret wires, what would it have blown? I've checked the breaker, no issues there.

Sorry it's the best way I could describe the situation

    Regards

have you checked your fuses by chance?
Is the breaker off? Yes. I grab the wire.. Its hot.... I grabbed him. He bounced... I love 220 volts

If the 1A fuse is always blowing and you HAVE fixed the cause of the short, you likely have shorted the rectifier.

The 1 Amp hasn't blown, the 3.2 hasn't, but only now I've noticed it has stopped the ball accelerator from going when the other machine is on.

If the "other" machine doesn't control the ball accelerator, the most likely problem is a bad relay in the accelerator control box. The least likely problem is the cable from the "other" machine's electrical box to the accelerator control box could be broken or loose. A shorted cable would cause the 3.2 amp fuse to blow.

For a pinsetter to continuously cycle could be either mechanical or electrical. To determine which is which, disconnect the cycle solenoid from the wiring channel. If the machine continues to cycle, the problem is mechanical.

Let us know what you find.

It's the TDM, which sadly at this point in time, have no spares of, will go through everything again today, most likely something I've missed

            Well this is a first.

We all from time to time have one of those “wow I’ve never seen THAT before” moments. Well today was one of those for me when my night tech texts me to say lane 16 is out...
