  • Turret releasing pins when deck isnt all the way up

Ok Guys heres one, I have to go in early tonight cause I get a text that a turret is releasing pins early when the deck isnt all the way up? Its releasing the pins when the deck is still moving, probably one of the blocking fingers out of adj?

Could be the interlock probe bent too low for some reason...especially if it just started happening.

Thanks for the replies guys, I worked on that Turret Friday before I left and it was running fine. I went in yesterday, and yes Steve the probe got bent to low. It was releasing pins to early. also I need to get the LH finger adj higher. The Probe is rubbing just a little on the finger, I have one of those brackets on the deck lift shaft with different holes. I need to use another hole to get the finger higher but not to bind.
I always appreciate the quick replies.

The different holes use different size X-washers. You want to stay with the proper X-washer if you are currently using the proper setup. A better fix would to be to either bend the bracket (by removing it from the deck lift shaft and placing in a vise) or shimming the bottom bolt by adding a couple of 1/4" washers between the bracket and the deck lift shaft.

i like that idea of shimming the bottom bolt. never thought of that before.

Whenever I have a problem with the LH blocking finger going far enough up I simply remove the bracket from the deck lift shaft and reinstall it upside-down.
