  • Cycle with #64 rubber band

This idea was given to me to practice on A2 machines without pins, it was advised to get permission from HM and or proprietor prior to trying

and included several safety warnings. Is there a better way or is this it?A2 cycling.jpg

I have done that...removed pins from the machine and have the bowler throw to their hearts content.

This here is a conversation usually reserved for the AMF forums. Nice to see a little bleed over. Here is their opinion on shadowballs.

Sometimes we have to do stuff to get by....Just go back and do it right when the "by" has passed!!

I teach to trust what you know on spares and to not look up at pins during any part of the delivery.

Off topic... Drill, it looks like the reset lever is cracked, in the usual spot.

From personal experience I'd also be watching out for a few rake hits the first time you try this, especially with bowlers who have used Instructomat on AMF machines.

I would not have a center that looked as bad as this machine does, this was sent to me for reviewing. For all you AMFers there are no 1"x4"s on real machines

I knew when I seen the picture, that it was not taken from Drills center. His equipment is in way better shape! I was @ his A2 house twice this summer, and got a tour from him of the back, it was AWESOME! Also, those machines have brunswick switch clusters and those looked like Jap A-2's. He has Qubica scoring, and serial number 54,000 range like I do. Anyways, can't this same thing be achieved by removing nylon projection from the deck lift shaft? Nowadays, I would do just about anything to make a customer happy, so we can get there money. Legally!

Lol. Sorry Drill. I really should have known better. As a mechanic you're eyes tend to lock in on certain thing (aside from cleanliness).

Now that I've heard so many good things about your centre, I wanna see it! Any pics?

I have Japanese A-2's with QubicaAMF scoring...and I have Brunswick switch clusters on my machines. (They are used to lockout the bowlers reset button when the machine is cycling)

Yes...that would work but the rubber band is quicker to do and works just as well...and I can't drop the rubber band under the pit board.

I am using relays. My question is to anyone that may...

                            *sigh* Hello friends..

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

Adapting the Bluffton end cap & terminal board kit to Franklin BE (and FE) motors.

Left a rant about this in the bowling forum…

I’ve already repaired a a number of Franklin FE motors using the Bluffton-style end cap and terminal board kit (090-004-582)....

                            Turret clutch rebuild

At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.

                            Thanks...
