  • 10 pin topples when reset

Hi folks...we have had a recurring issue for awhile of the 10 pin tipping upon being reset...our mechanic is working through a few things moving deck cable wise, but I just thought that I would post here for some additional help...it does seem to be just the 10 pin that is our issue...thanks to all in advance, Dave

Check the levelness of your deck, you could also have a bad deck pad or a missing scissor pad.

is it falling when you respot pins, or set a new rack?

On the respot & mostly when it is the 10 pin only

An un-level (bent) scissor arm, worn gripper pads and the condition of the deck pad will play a role.

Which way does it wobble? Front to back or left to right?

Could be stabilizer bearings. If the bearing moves when the deck is raising, the bottom of the pin will move also. Then when the deck lowers back down, the bottom of the pin will end up in a different position and then when the scissors release and the deck raises again, the pin can wobble...even falling over.

              *sigh* Hello friends..

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.
