  • Need part number for spacer

I'm looking for the part number for the steel spacer that goes between the lower pin wheel guide roller shaft and the rear elevator plate on A2 machines. These were only used on the machines that have the space between the pinwheel and the rear plate. I can't find it in any parts catalog. Thanks.

The pinwheel roller is on the bottom and the pinwheel guide rollers are on the top. Sometimes terminology can be important. With that being said you are right, the spacer is not in the book. If there is a rep from Brunswick viewing this please respond. If it was me though I would measure the spacer and get one from Grainger.

check page 145 in parts manual
shows E121C 12-400018-022 Spacer for machines 21869 and up.
Could this be what you're looking for?

Yes you are right about the terminology Popeye. I usually pay attention to that. The Grainger route may be the best solution. I don't think E121C is correct and if it is, it's not drawn in the correct location. Thanks.

I don't think this is what he is looking for. There is a spacer between the head of the bolt #E121B and the back plate. I have these on my machines but it's not showing it in the green book.

The JCP catalog i have shows 2 spacers one at the head of the bolt 12-400018-011

And one at end of the bolt [elevator side] 12-400018-022

Go with what works and not what the book says.

That's the same pic in the parts manual. Same part number.
Maybe someone put on a spacer but it wasn't quite right. I've seen this at my place. Give someone a task and they come to me with parts that aren't correct but were installed and working? One of those "do what ya gotta do" to keep it running. I tell them if that has to be done make a note so the right hardware gets put on when it arrives. Maybe JBEES or Peanut has an idea?

I'll just check online for an equivalent. I'm sure I can find something really close.

is the one that goes in between the rear plate and bolt.

Neither of those numbers were correct. I ordered them both just to see. My solution was purchasing spacers of equivalent inner and outer diameter from www.boltdepot.com. The ones they stock measure 1.5" in length so I will have to cut them down to 1" (31/32" to be exact). They are quite pricey but I need about 10 of them to fix up my machines. Between them and www.fastenermart.com you can get some good deals on other standard hardware in bulk.
