  • Restricted Drop Blocking Finger

    Hey guys,
Gotta replace the LH Restricted drop blocking finger. Can anyone give me a procedure on how to do so?? I've only replaced the RH finger before.
    Thanks in advance!

Start by removing the RH blocking finger. Be sure the deck is setting new pins when you set up to do this procedure. After you remove that, you will see a collar on the interlock cross shaft. Remove the spring going to the hook latch at the back of the turret. Remove the bolt going through the collar. Remove the collar. If there is still the restricted drop link attached to the LH blocking finger, remove the bolt that attaches the link to the blocking finger. You can now pull the interlock cross shaft out of the turret by pulling it to the left side of the machine. When the shaft is removed far enough, the LH blocking finger will be free to come out.

I usually pop the turret clutch out. Makes a lot more room.

At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.
