  • Deck will not shift for new pins

After the 2nd ball or a Strike I have to manually make the pinsetter set a new rack of pins by pushing the stop arm back. Why?

This is on an "A" pinsetter.

Thank you very much in adavance for any help with this.
Very visual...if you got pictures...send them too! Thanks!

180 degree interlock adjustment would be where I would start. Also look at the long link and the hook latch. Be sure the long link is being pushed to the rear and locking on the hook latch after the turret goes by the 5 pin.

Thank you Steve! Fixed it real quick!

However...one other question. I believe I have a pin gate problem too, on the same pinsetter. Occasionally, I end up with two pins in the 5 pin chute. WHich causes a pin jam. I actually seen it happen tonight, where another pin came right up the cross conveyor, passed right over the pin gate and fell right into the the 5 pin chute, on top of the pin that was already there.

      What would you suggest? Thanks!!

Could be the latch is not falling after the roller pushes the link out from under the roll pin/bolt. Also the pin gate lever may not be returning so the latch can fall down. You will need to watch as the pin goes over the pin gate lever and see what is happening...or not happening. Be sure the top of the pin gate lever is not getting caught on the rubber pad under the snubber.
