Sure stop jig
Well I got my sure stop jig today. Now all I need to know is how to get the pin out of the stop lever assembly. It's an aluminum frame and the pin has a open hole threaded. Anybody know the thread size?Tags: None

The jig should actually screw into the pin with a bolt (10x24 I think) you dont remove the stop lever pin. (and there is a bolt under the stop lever, goes thru the stop lever and into the pin, if you dont know where it is, remove the bottom cover and look up and the turret, you will see it. AND take you time drilling the holes, I seized a bit up in the jig trying to drill too fast. I started with a smaller bit before hitting it with the 3/16.

Cool...step 2 states to install with a 10-24 bolt. Do not remove the pin. It should just thread right in.
Be sure you do not try to drill the entire hole at one time as the aluminum is very malleable and will stick in the flutes of the drill bit. This will clog the flutes and prevent the material from escaping easily. Heat will develop and eventually destroy the jig if the flutes are not cleaned.
Hope this helps.TSM & TSM Training Development

*sigh* Hello friends..
I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

Adapting the Bluffton end cap & terminal board kit to Franklin BE (and FE) motors.
Left a rant about this in the bowling forum…
I’ve already repaired a a number of Franklin FE motors using the Bluffton-style end cap and terminal board kit (090-004-582)....

Turret clutch rebuild
At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.
Thanks...
