  • Spring guide tube assembly

I'm trying to put a guide tube together from scratch. I know u have the end cap, Allen screws, washer on the inside with a clip and nuts go in the clip. But how do u tighten the nuts when there way down int he tube?
and when u put the spring in do u glob a whole tube of grease on the spring?
    Thanks

I don't know about the nuts but you want to coat the spring really good with grease. I don't know about a whole tube but I would use a lot.

I use a paint brush and brush the whole spring. Brush it on thick.

Very carefully. A long extension and socket with a gob of grease in to hold the nut.

The clip has holes in it to hold the nuts, so you should be able to tighten it with just an allen wrench. I epoxy the nuts in the clip to keep them from falling out.

            *sigh* Hello friends..

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

            Turret clutch rebuild

At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.
