  • Pin setter Motor

Hello everyone. I had someone replace the centrifugal governor in the motor and it runs but once you add any belts it turns at half the capacity. Could it be a capacitor? He also replaced the stationary switch. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Just a guess but is it set/wired for the correct voltage?

Yes a capacitor will cause this, weak ones will let it run fine under no load.

Ok so I spoke with my boss today, and I guess the governor has to be placed on a certain spot on the shaft. All is well now and I replaced the capacitors but no luck.
