I once did a couple by cutting the old shaft off flush with frame, drilling and tapping a 1/2 x 13 hole and installing new roller with the shaft and bolt used on the rear wall pinsetters. Time consuming, and you have to get your cut and drill hole almost exact to get a good job, i got lucky. You do have to remove shaker frame to do this, not a fun job.

I had contemplated doing the same as Brent. However it's a one shot deal, and frankly, I don't trust my luck.

I'd suggest buying the Quality roller, or do as I do and machine the OEM bore to accommodate a standard 55mm O.D bearing for the repair sleeve. Since the Quality rollers aren't stocked by our suppliers In Australia, I bore them myself for the cost of the bearings and an hour or so of my time. I also use a small amount of retaining compound on the shaft to prevent the sleeve from rotating and further wearing the shaft. If the inner race of the bearing shows any sign of rotating on the sleeve, I'll oval the sleeve by squashing it in the vice.
