  • Pin Sensor Issues.

Hi, I'm pretty new in the industry. I have a 6 lane house and I'm having issues with two of my lanes. The one won't sense anything if the headpin is all that remains. The other lane occasionally doesn't sense strikes. Any ideas?

Most likely a detector rod adjustment

if when all that remains is the head pin, and its not picking it up, id be looking at the deck pad and stabilizer arms. The deck pad may have a massive worn spot, or the stabilizer rod end bearings might be badly worn. Quick easy way to tell is, with the deck at zero degrees, push down on the front edge of the #1 deck chute, if the whole deck moves, you have bad bearings.

Also make sure all the bolts are tight that hold the deck slides to the moving deck. If they loosen up, the stationary deck will keep moving after the moving deck stops on standing pins, and could cause a strike detection.

If this and all suggestions above dont work, make sure your moving deck isnt broken / warped.

At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.
