    WEAK 120VAC CONTACTOR

    Hello there to everyone, it’s been awhile since I gotten to check the message boards I have been busy remolding a Sports Bar in our center.

    I have a question for everyone, I recently purchased several 120vac motor contactors (12-900201-000) from Brunswick and I think I got a batch of bad ones and I was wondering if any of you have been having trouble with them lately. The brand names on these are Deltrol Controls. The Problem that I am having is that after about 2 or 3 weeks they seem to get weak and will open while the machine is on. Just 3 weeks ago I installed one of these contactors and it lasted 3weeks to the day and then the same old thing.

    Anyway I just was wondering if anyone else has had a problem like this out of these contactors.

    I know this will sound dumb...but is it just one lane with this problem. Maybe it is not the contactors causing the problem, but something else in the machine. I would try moving it to a different machine and take the one out of the other machine and put it into the machine causing you trouble. Just an idea...as far as your original question, I haven't had any trouble or heard of any other mechanics having trouble with the Brunswick version.

      This problem is not on just one lane it is in all 44 lanes of ours plus other center mechanics that I have talked to are having similar problems of the coil opening up under load.
