idler gears
Yes..me again!(lol)We have changed about 3 idler gears since i have come to this center, gears were missing a tooth and or teeth just chipped/worn out, noticed them doing my lubings and with a mini flashlight so i can look into detector and areas. One machine was having troubles and found the gear was bad and wobbly. Not a bad job to do..just pull detector and go at it.,think most troubles for these gears have been total lack of maintenance ala lubing but now all machines have been and are consistantly lubed by me alone since nobody seems to like doing this.,heck...no big deal...i just set up my program to do things.Anywho...keep an eye on the buggers...had a guy at another place have one go so bad it took out a 1-1 since the idler gear was missing about 6 teeth. My head mech.doesnt worry about a wobbly idler but i say its an invite for trouble!Tags: None
