My reply would have been, that it takes a while to rebuild a neglected center.

      Jeremy,
I think Roscoes answer is about as honest as you can get, I am currently rebuilding a very neglected center and the main thing is not to forget what your purpose there is. You can easily get caught up in the day to day soap opera of a bowling center, Jeremy just dont lose track of the total picture here. Bowlers can be cruel, but some of them don't realize the tremendous amount of maintenance involved in keeping a bowling center in good shape. It takes years for a center to get run down and years to get it put back together, they have to realize that it's not going to happen overnight. But if you can start making positive changes they will also see that..... sometimes they are not all bad. Just don't get discouraged by one unhappy customer, sometimes he or she might be having a bad day and nothing you do will please them just don't take it personally, they might not know all of the circumstances. Just give 100% when your there and things will start happening. Just look at the bright side if your center is in bad shape then theres no where to go but up (provided proper repair and maintenance is being performed). Good Luck

P.S. I just re-read your post, if it was the previous owners ripping you for spite I dont think I would be so nice.

and then he said, "on your death bed, you will receive total consciousness" so I got that going for me...... which is nice!

hey guy don't feel bad. there are some of us that have been in the industry for 20 yrs or more, even we miss some things. no one is a perfect mechanic. look on the bright side, you can make it better because you care.

          HELLO FELLOW PROP.

I TOO JUST BOUGHT MY CENTER A YEAR AND A HALF AGO, AND YES THERE ARE THOSE WHO DONT SEE WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO DO TO GET YOUR PLACE BACK IN NICE CONDITION.

THE GENTLEMAN WE BOUGHT FROM WAS VERY NICE, AND HIS SONS STILL BOWL HERE AND HIS DAUGHTER STILL WORKS FOR US, AND THEY HAVE TOLD US THEY CAN SEE WHAT WE ARE DOING HERE TO SPRUCE THINGS UP. HE WAS A GOOD MECHANIC BUT HIS RIGGING OF CERTAIN THINGS DIDNT FLY WITH ME, HAD TO PUT THEM BACK THE RIGHT WAY INSTEAD OF JUST MAKING DO.

KEEP YOUR 100% GOING AND PEOPLE WILL SEE IT.
