What is the best way to eliminate pins being thrown in the curtain by a ball on Model A pinsetters?

What are you talking about? Balls pushing pins up the lift rods and dropping them on the cutain? Not sure where you're coming from... :-/
What do we do with the bits left over?

        Re: Pins in Curtain

There is supposed to be a fence on the even lane return track on A-2s, however the center im at now someone has removed all of them, also there is a pin deflector cord (im not sure if it's on an A machine or not) but it extends from rear bottom guard, and runs across the back of the lift rods and attaches to a bracket on the elevator frame between the ball wheel and pinwheel. I also installed all of these (they were gone) and it cut my calls, pin in track etc. by 90% it also helps keep your pins in the machine instead of in the back isle.

and then he said, "on your death bed, you will receive total consciousness" so I got that going for me...... which is nice!

A2...better to have them in the curtain than underground. Install pin deflector cords as jerrid recommended and thats about the best you can do. There are no "fences" for an A machine. I have seen extra pin deflector cords strung across the path of the ball trying to catch a pin as it goes up the lift would have to experiment with placement on your paticular situation.

          Just my two cents worth...
