  • strange thing happened !

Come in to work today and find 2 sets of pins sitting behind one lane. All the pins had long deep scratchs running from top to bottom along the belly of the pins, 3 to 4 inches long. Just a note saying will explain tomorrow. Well tonight the guy explains that the hook that holds the bungee cord onto the frame came off, got caught around the pinwheel and the pin wiper just right that is got stuck there. Ruined 2 sets of pins and almost cut the plastic pinwheel into two pieces right above the pinwheel belt. Wonders will never cease !!
(thank god we have not put the new pins in yet)

    Re: strange thing happened !

    Hey Marty
That is a good story and brings up a good point.
The end of the pin wiper can get RAZOR sharp and mar pins as they go through.
It also gets so sharp it can cut a finger like slicing butter.
Just another thing to keep an eye on because I learned this after a pinchaser cut his finger clearing a turn pan jam because the pin wiper over 20 years had worn down to a razor sharp point at the end.
