  • solenoid energizing during cycle

I've got a machine that while the rake is down it's getting a signal to the solenoid. I have AMF Accuscore installed w/electronic triggering. There are four micro switches on the machine. Two on the rake lift shaft;#1 goes to the scoring....a take data switch I think? #2 is a hot switch to keep the pinsetter on when the rake is down in the event the machine gets turned off before the cycle is complete. Switch #3 is activated by the rake cam follower. Don't know, but I think this one is like a zero switch for the scores. Switch #4 is the trigger sw inside the elec box. It is for the ball detect and I'm guessing the solenoid lock-out for when the rake is down.I have elominated the everything that plugs into elec box. I have checked and re-checked all the micro switches which all are working properly. With the rake down in gaurd position you can break the detect beam and no signal goes to relay. The machine will sweep, breaking the beam w/nothing happening then come out of 180 breaking the beam again a short time delay then energizes the cycle relay. I know it's probably something small that I'm overlooking but I'm stumpped. Please help me if you can. Thanks in advance.

where is the bowl tronics located? if you have them. amf, for some reason likes them behind the rake, causing the solenoid to fire three times every cycle.
Sometimes we have to do stuff to get by....Just go back and do it right when the "by" has passed!!

Check your rake crank link adjustment, rake hook and the rake arm stops. If the rake is bouncing when it comes forward, it can close the switch momentarily and allow a start signal. What type of triggering do you have? Most have a switch that is used to keep false triggers.
