detector question
hey guys, i have a machine that has broken the deck hook latch in the detector for the second time in two weeks.i had to weld the latch when i repaired it .tonite it broke again.is there somthing that i'm missing that will cause the latch to break or maybe my weld job wasn't the best? i thought it was pretty nice though.any input would be appreciated. lazeTags: None

Not sure which part you're referring to ... can you re-post with the part #, it would help out a lot in trying to narrow it down.

Most guys call that part the standing pins selector, FYI ...
The only time I have seen a standing pins selector get F/U is by failure or working loose of the bolt (GB59???) that holds moving deck cam follower mounting shaft (GB 58, page 5) in place. This is a high stress application, should have a grade 8 bolt in it. Also check condition of detector mounting plate (GB56) where the shaft goes through it, if bolt came loose or broke, plate may be bent enough to cause trouble.
