• Thanks!!

I owe thanks to many people here.

I had a machine where the lower MD cable would pop off every now and then, however The problem seemed to get worse these past couple of days. It used to would do it about once or twice a month, then suddenly it startd happening every day.

This has been going on for about 4 yrs now. Former head mech. couldn't find the problem, and neither could I..Until this morning.

I had noticed for some time that the MD had some jerky movement to it, but had assumed it was a bearing going or a bind somewhere.

Well this morning, after re-re-re-re installing the lower MD cable, I really got to looking. I finally looked at the MD/scissor cam, and sure enough, it had at LEAST 1/2" of slop. It was so bad that I disassembled the 1-1 on the machine and could pull the MD/Scissor cam off with only my hands. The key was broken in to, and the shaft was worn.

Anyway..I owe thanks to the members of Bowl Tech for providing the info on what to look for, otherwise I'd be re-building a deck for no reason.

I DEFINATELY must thank Roscoe for his info on 1-1 replacement, and timing. It saved me ALOT of time.

Also to Masternut for the inspiration to REALLY keep the machines clean.

    Thanks again to all!!
