  • Brunswick 5 pin string

I'm looking for any info on Brunswick 5 pin String machines.I recently got a call to go and service a pair of lanes in a private home and found two imacculate bruns. machines over original Anvilane. They are 11 yrs. old and may have 100 games each on them. The only things missing are service and parts manuals. Any info would be appreciated.

    Re: Brunswick 5 pin string

    Hi Doug
I work on early 1960's Schmid 5 pin string machines at my center and have seen some of the newer Brunswick ones...pretty easy to maintain.
If you are looking for manuals and parts I would try Peterbauer Bowling Supplies in Edmonton,Ab. Their phone # is (780)454-1110
talk to Nelson or Vic. They are both probably at the Canadian Proprietors convention until Saturday and then off to Vegas for Bowl Expo next week, you should be able to catch them after that.
Another place to try would be professional Bowling Service in Oakville, On. Their number is (416) 842-4390.

You only need 2 tools...WD40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD40. If it moves and it should't, use the tape.

Thanks Russ. We also have 12 Smid mach. in our house along with 28 GS/98's. These are just different enough that I thought I would like to see an manual for adjustmnts. I'll talk to Nelson after he recovers from Vegas.
