  • rough shifting deck

Hello and thanks for reading. The moving deck shifts rough on lane 13 because the 1 to 1 is going out. When it sets new pins, it taps the 7 pin and many times knocks it down. I am looking for a temporary fix. I have been thinking about trying a bungee cord to put some resistance on the deck's forward shift. Any comments or ideas? Thanks a million.

    Re: rough shifting deck

Don't mess around with quick fixes when it comes to 1 to 1's. Change it, and get it over with. If you have the older moving deck cam on it, the newer ones work a lot smoother when it comes to pinspotting new pins.

      Nod, I agree.

Dont spend anymore effort than what is needed to repair it. You will be happier in the long run.

Your time would be better spent replacing the 1 to 1.

Your moving deck may be warped and having a hard time with the geneva rollers transfering. Put the deck at 300degrees (thats were the deck is completely open) both rollers should be in the front slot of the geneva cam, straight up and down. Now lift on the moving deck and see if you have any play between the top of the slot and roller, if not the deck will jump. PJ
