    Re: pit carpet premature failure

    hello,
it's been my experience that alot of premature carpet failure is caused by the fact that the carpet isn't properly glued to the board, if you don't have sufficient glue in the ball impact area the constant impact begins to lift up the carpet creating a void between the board and carpet and this is the beginning of the hole in the carpet problem, what i've done in the past is to catch this problem before it gets too bad.
once the carpet lifts and begins to fall apart i'll take a coffee can and put it over the worn area and cut away the bad section and then do the same with a replacement carpet and glue it in place i use a round patch so that there are no straight edges for the ball or pins to potentially hang up on, this is a good fix if you have a few of your machines with the same problem instead of replacing a bunch of carpets at around 100 bucks each.
    hope this is helpful,

    GOOD LUCK EVERYONE
