• Strange 1-1 trend going on

Having replaced my 8th 1-1 assy recently, I noticed a strange trend.

Out of the 1-1s I have replaced all of the cracked housings were on even lanes, and cracked keways were on odd lanes.

    Coincidence???

    Lanes 1,3,5,17 - cracked/broken keway.

    Lanes 8,12,14,18 - cracked cover/housing.

P.S. DJ switches have all been fixed now, and are checked regularly. No broken/cracked cover assys in a long time.

    coincedence...

I have noticed broken covers usually have bad deck jam switches...as you have already fixed...or pinchasers that love to push on motor start relays...that I have already fired...lol

Bad keyways usually accompanied by a moving deck shaft that is wound 1 turn (or more) too tight. This is not always the situation, but I have had it happen more than a few times...I would check those lanes that had keys go bad and see if the deck is wound too tight.
