  • Pinwheel Belt

Sorry for the dumb question, but is there any easy way to change a Pinwheel belt on an A-2. I've never had one break on me before so I wanted to know the easiest way to go about doing this, thanks for your help.

    Horizons:
Not a problem, should only require 15 mins. or so.
A/2- remove the upper left (10 side) catwalk bolts, the spring tensioner shaft, the two (or three, depending on serial number), ball track bolts. Feed belt up and around the pin wiper, over and through the catwalk brace. Then fight the idler shaft back into place. Then loosen the guide rollers, lift wheel and fight belt around the bottom of same. Prepare to curse, if you have to remove the bungee cord holder in order to remove the bungee cord, in order to get around that piece of work.
    Roscoe.

Thanks, this will definitely help. I'm not yet as experienced as most of you are, and I've never yet had a pinwheel belt actually break. I'll get this done tomorrow morning, thanks a lot!!

What about the magnetic clutch? Is there a way that I won't have to take that out?

          Horizons:

That's why you un-do the UPPER catwalk bolts on the rear of the 10-pin side, to slide the belt between the catwalk support and the machine frame, eliminating the need to remove the jackshaft and clutch:
