  • Magnetic Clutch 150V DC OCV

Jbees: Just read a post regarding magnetic clutch (Nov 2001) and you say dont be alarmed if you get 150V DC Open circuit voltage when testing from plug end...

Chased that one all day today LOL

had 163V OCV but one thing that alarms me is that both 15 and 16 have about 70 Volts DC between both of the pins in the magnetic clutch socket (in the cable channel) and ground. that would be 90 + 70 =160 Earthing problem?

Lost coil in motor contactor and transformer fuse last night on 16 Related???

Quality Rectifier, Jap A2, 110V into rectifier...

    Any help appreciated

Re: Magnetic Clutch 150V DC OCV

If you are getting 70 volts when you go across the plug of the magnetic clutch there is a very good chance that the rectifier is going bad.It is not uncommon for the rectifier to also take out the contactor and even the transformer.
