    Re: Scissor 's

    Grey:
One thing common to older serials, was the propensity for the bottom of the nut (that the drag link bolt goes into), to dig a groove into the sissors deck. Thereby creating the problem you alluded to. One must always keep the drag link as high on the pin as possible while keeping the top of the pin down as far as possible, when tightening the allen bolt, that clamps around the pin. This gives one the max. amount of clearance between the nut and the sissors deck.
    Just one possibility.

      Re: Scissor 's

Since you said it was the 5 and 8 pin check the long bar because that bar runs 3 scissors.
Maybe it is bent and making the scissors rub like Roscoe mentioned.
Also check to make sure the allen bolts are threaded into the drag link the right way.
Tha clamp around the pin has an allen bolt going through it.
The clamp has a larger hole on one side and threads on the other.(bolt through then threads)
If someone has worked on the scissors they could have installed the allen bolt through the wrong side and now there is no grip on the scissor pin.
Hope this helps and let us know what you find.

Make sure you are not running your scissor cable too tight.
