  • snubber bolt specification

Hello and thanks for reading. What is the specification for the snubber bolt? We have a "hodge podge" of various sizes and want to set a standard. Our parts book does not give the specifications, only the part number. Our snubbers are the stationary ones. Many thanks to anyone who can help.

1/4" x 1" grade 8 with a self locking nut and be sure to use the rubber pad. Also flat washer on top. This has always worked for me over 25 years.

        Re: snubber bolt specification

I think Brunswick actually started with a button head allen bolt on the snubber so there was less chance of a pin getting knicked.
But a grade 8 bolt is the same hardness as an allen head so that will work fine.

          Re: snubber bolt specification

I changed mine to 5/16-18 bolts. To many were coming loose or breaking.
          Not no more.
