  • Turret Problems

    Haveing a problem where the turret will not stop and wait for the pin to load.. instead the turret just keeps on turning.. any ideas.. I may need a pic or something..

    Check to see if the short link is binding on the shield underneath. Also check to see if the trip lever is not rubbing against the threaded rod. These are 2 of the most common causes of the turret to continue to multiple index. Another thing to check is to see if the indexing cam is not loose. Pin gate strap being held down will cause the indexing roller to remain in the up position not locking into the next dwell on the cam. I might of missed other areas so you will get more help here. Oh, is the time delay gear continuing to turn. Star latch might not be locking. Ok, just some info for you.

      In addition you may want to see if the short link has come off,i have 2 machines where the turret helmet(protector)rubbed on the link so i added some shims to it,is the index trip spring good,have seen them get weak OR break but still look good.Besides this i think msbowl cover things very well!
      Use what you have to,to get it through the shift then fix it right.Do it right and live through the night...Safety first!
