Ive been recently going through each lane at the house I work in and adjustmenting rake board heights. Ive basically been going through the adjustments that the Brunswick Adjustment book gives. As always some lanes come out perfectly and others seem to still be way off. Any other suggestions and getting my rake boards at better heights. ( the adjustments in the book include distance from the C-lever to the shaft its connected to, the distance between the roller and the indentation in the shotgun assembly when the machine is at 90 degrees, rake cam adjustment and space between rake board and pin deck when rake is between the 2,3 and 3,4,5 positions.)

The section on "balancing" a cam is of particular interest in these cases.

Re: Rake Board Heighe Adjustments
Thanks for the help. Ive basically tried alot of what was said but Ill be sure to go through everything again. One more thing, is adjusting the rake board height without looking at the crank rod a bad idea?... It seems to me that alot of rakes arent pulling back far enough or are pulling back unevenly even though the Rake Cam is adjusted correctly. And one last thing, can someone please make me feel better and tell me that I should be getting paid more than $7/hour for this.
