Distributor drive shaft U-joint part #2370
Broke my last good distributor drive shaft U-joint this week and AMF doesn’t appear to sell the 2370 part number any more. They list an 070-007-586 which looks exactly like the ones on all my machines (but are out of stock), a Vantage Apex one for three times the price, and a $10 plastic one. Problem is, they’re all listed as being for 70s and above. Same with the various options from EBN. Are any of these compatible with 82-30s?Tags: None

Yes, the 070-007-586 u-joint will work on 30s just fine. 30s & 70s use the same u-joint. The regular AMF steel ones are pretty good. I never go with plastic unless I have to. Apex are good but not good enough to justify paying 3 times more than the regular steel one IMO.Experience: Currently Help Maintain 44 82-30s and 50 82-70s.
