  • weird pinsetters...

    hey, i work at a brand new brunswick center in kansas city w/ 32 gs 98's and i went to this old place around here and the machines when the deck comes down you can see the pins being dropped into the deck..there is no turret..pin station...i was wonderin if neone knew what they are?

      If they're slow as molasses, and the new pins hang down at about a 45 degree angle, you're looking at an AMF 82-30. Vintage late '50's to early 60's, although if I missed by a year or two, the AMF mechs here will surely correct me.

        8230s are the supreme antique of the bowling industry. Owning one of those is like owning a piece of history.

                  They ARE majestic ol' buggers. Fun to watch them run. There's a 40 lane house nearby with them, some of them will run & run. Some of them will puke pins out on the lane every half-hour !

                  I'll take the 70's !

                    i like it when there's a pin jam at the 1.2.3 area and the pins go over the table to the pindeck and pins go cartwheeling three lanes. fun to watch from upfront.

                      I grew up on the 30s but work on 70s now..I'll take a 70 anyday!!
