No cycle?
Hi folks. I had an odd problem Sunday. Had 4 people on lane 1 and half way through their 2nd game, the machine decides it will not cycle. OK, I try 5 different chassis and they all do the same thing; they all ran fine for 6 or so frames and then no more cycle. fianally I pulled the chassis from another machine and no more problem. Any ideas why these chassis decided not to cycle? All chassis are Omega equipped, Accuscore scoring, still use framemeter switches up front to turn machines on and framemeters still hooked up.

Might be a connection in the J-box - terminals contacting the chassis. I'd inspect the J36 and 37 terminals, and wires going to them. Especially if the insulation on these wires is brittle..

I put one of the offending chassis on another machine tonight before league started. I ran 15 cycles from the back, no problems, but when I turned the lane on for league, no cycle again. Could the rectifier above the framemeter be causing this? When my dad had 70s I seem to remember him having an issue like this, but it has been almost 20 years ago and I didn't really mess with the electrical side of the machines back then.Gene Simmons for president!!!

It's an easy thing to take the frame meter rectifiers out of the circuit. Since instructomat is in the same circuitry, I guess a shorted rectifier could pull in PR5 (as I recall) into instructomat. Just haven't seen it myself.
If this is what's happening, you would be able to see the relay pulled in..

I have not checked to see if PR5 is pulling in or not. I had thought of it, but forgot when I got to the machne, LOL, darn short memory. Billy, the sweep does run with the SA cam though. Right now, I only have one chassis that works well on this machine and sometimes it quits cycling. If I change it for another and put the original back on the next day, it works fine. Could the main transformer be getting weak with this one chassis? Still doesn't explain the others that work on other lanes though. One of the other offending chassis, I ran on lane 7 for about 20 frames before league the other night. Turned it on for league, NO CYCLE there either. GGRRRR!!!Gene Simmons for president!!!

*sigh* Hello friends..
I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

Adapting the Bluffton end cap & terminal board kit to Franklin BE (and FE) motors.
Left a rant about this in the bowling forum…

Turret clutch rebuild
At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.
Thanks...
