    Hello All,

Well, the Bowl is being COMPLETELY remodeled, incliding changing from 82/70 to EDGE string pinspotters. I wanted to ask anybody that has gone though this transition, if there is anything that I should look out for, be aware of, etc.

    TIA

I dont have Edge strings but I do have strings. keep an eye on pin wear and rotate your pins positions monthly. bowlers will complain. be ready with your reply of encouragement. follow the routine maint that is suggested. it will save you headaches.
If its still broken, guess it wasnt in the parts budget.

      Zbowl,

Thanks for the response. What have been your biggest complaints? And, how difficult is the pin rotation process? TIA

the pin rotation is not that big of a deal. Just untie them and move the pins. I usually cut the string at the top of the pin as is usually getting worn at that point. I have 1 center with 12 lanes that runs pretty much flawless. many have to adjust magnets or string tensions or ball detects once in a blue moon but the staff is able to handle tangles and balls being stuck in the pit. My 20 lane center however is a nightmare. once every few months im replacing a faulty powerboard, adjusting ball detects, strings length and as of recent I have been replacing lower ball lift clutches. 5 in the last few weeks. Being the ses/switch pinsetters are made overseas, I think they spent too long at sea. feel free to hit me up if you have questions or run into issues. I've been playing with these for 4 or so years now and pretty much have seen everything that can happen.
If its still broken, guess it wasnt in the parts budget.
