Bowling equipment safety practices vary greatly from center to center depending on the manufacturer of the equipment installed in the center.
Please seek training from other properly trained personnel on safety guidelines for your equipment.
Reference any safety notices or guidelines in equipment manufacturer manuals prior to repairing or performing preventive maintenance on the equipment.
I just got my annual insurance (liability, fire etc.)bill for the year and notice that my premiums had increased 20+ percent over the year 2000.
To the other managers/proprietors out there - what are you paying per year, per lane for insurance? Also,does your local/regional associations work with one insurance company to get better rates or does your house deal independently with the insurance company?
My liability insurance went up 12.5% from last year. I pay around $7,000.00 a year. My center is only 12 lanes. The regional association (NORCAL BPA ) works with insurance companies to get us a better deal. I presently get my insurance through the Association. My workman comp took a big jump this year also. I'm also in California, so we are really getting nailed on gas and electric right now.
I am a past proprietor of 2 houses. One way to drive costs down is competition. I solicited bids from 2 local agencies in town. I wound up saving about $700 per year over previous proprietor. However there had only been about 3 claims in 10 years and my building and equip. was in good shape. My last place was a 12 laner and I believe premiums were about $4000 per year, 1999-2000 season.
Can somebody give an explaniton how pins 2, 3, 6 are supposed to be connected. I had a shortcircuit there for the drive motor connection because of water leakage.
