  • PBL Ball Lift

Is there a safe way to get a ball up the lift that is spinning about half way up? This has happened a couple of times on my lift and I just carefully reach down the side and help it up. I have AMF mini PBL.
    Thanks

The proper answer is to shut off the lane pair, remove supply plugs and then spin the PBL belt by hand, might as well give the belt and up lift rails a clean while you're there.

The practical way of doing it (if during a busy night or league) is to put your foot on the metal rods which lay on the height adjustment bump stops and apply minimal pressure as too much will kick the belt off the pulleys.

I think the spring adjustment is 4 1/2", PBL height is 6" if I remember correctly (probably wrong though), could be different taking in to account how worn the belt is.

    Hope this helps

There is NO SAFE way while the pair of lanes is in operation.

Yes, I'm a Brunswick guy; but, I've also worked on AMF machines.

Get it to work properly so this does not happen in the first place.....sorry could not resist. If you have to do it run it up the rods with the machines LOTO.

If you have spinning issues, I wouldn't just keep manually running the ball up all the time. Check the lift for split covers, bad slick belt or incorrect tension of the belt spring.
