  • Mini Lane Maintenance Tip

My lane's outdoors, so things tend to get dusty, especially if it's been windy. But this tip will probably help out those of you with indoor or garage lanes too. I received a "California Car Duster" as a gift a while back but didn't trust it to not scratch the paint on my truck so I never used it. It's basically a wide string mop on a short handle and works great as a quick clean up tool before bowling a few frames. Turn it parallel with the lane and it fits perfectly in the gutters. Turn it sideways and it makes quick work of cleaning the lane surface. Under $20 at a discount auto parts store near you.

I have a microfiber duster with a long handle that I use as well. Works great!
