  • Half Scale Honor League 2.0

Hello half scale bowlers. I want to see how many interested bowlers we could get for a league to start up in January. Same as the last league, bowlers would submit their weekly series via email. All scores are on anhonor system. Please post if you are interested and any thoughts on the length of the league or starting dates that work. Thanks all!

My mini league should be starting back up in January, I believe on 1/4/13. I can submit my scores each week to you whenever you decide to start up the honor league again..

I can't do anything yet. Can I join a fantasy bowling league?
If it can't be fixed with a hammer, try a bowling pin! They're heavier and more surface area for whacking!

Any truth to the rumor that Mushtare had a 300 average in last years league?

Heh, I had to look that one up, I'd forgotten about that guy. Sadly, we didn't have any 300 games during our six-week trial season but maybe that is a good thing. Mini bowling is not as easy as it might look!

Stevejt66 had the Honor League high series of 537 and high scratch game of 201. He also finished the season with the league high average of 169.

LOL...yeah, that's after 2 1/2 years of practice and many, many, many games....at least 1,500 games myself, and have over 5,200 games on the lane as of this month since May of 2010 when it was built...

Yes, Congratulations Steve on the Championship! Andy, if you are going to go "fantasy" with the League, you should hope for the first draft pick and snatch up Steve! LOL I'm glad we seem to have some more interest. So far, and correct me if I'm wrong, we should have me (Tim), Steve, Dberber, Tate, and hopefully Scaleman can make a quick comeback with his lane and get involved. Not sure about Chad yet, but hopefully we can get to 6 bowlers this season. I'm practicing almost daily with my kids, who are getting better. Just last night with the kids, I bowled a 152 and my 5-yr old rolled a 78 and my 3-yr old rolled a 66 (with a strike in there). They love taking turns, and pressing the "S" key for OpenScore and seeing the display of the pins after the first ball is thrown. Looking forward to the new season, and working with Dberber on managing the league. Once we have a lineup of bowlers for sure, I'll get everyone to submit one or two sets of "reserve" scores sent confidentially to the League Manager in the event that a bowler misses the submission cutoff for a particular week or is unable to bowl for any reason. I'm excited and looking forward to the start of the league. Please send me a CONFIRMATION THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE AND/OR JOIN THIS HONOR LEAGUE HERE ON BOWLTECH OR AT MY EMAIL: [email protected] Thanks guys! Try to confirm by 02/01/13 at the latest. If we get a league of 6 before then and not much more interest we will get an earlier start date...

I am still in for sure and practicing with my kids everyday also. My oldest 6yr boy named noah loves pressing the S on openscore and is pretty consistant in the 70's and 80's with a 100 in there every so often. My 3yr tanner is consistant in the 60's also. My high game is a 180 with most in the 130's-140's. Just a suggestion maybe add league for the kids. I know mine would get a kick out of that.

Well, if this weather keeps up, I will no longer have to fantasize about a league. The weather here in Northern Cali has just been beautiful all week. If I can get a couple of days to work on it, I will be good to go.

I will take Tim's advise and have Steve on my fantasy league. Steve, hopefully we will kick some pin butt tonight! Let me know how you did, is there an official score card somewhere?

                            Hi Andy,
There are the league records that my scores are recorded into, and also those scores are put in another book for my "overall average". I'll let you know.....I've hit about 6 games that were over 200 in the last week and a half. I hope the league scores are good tonight. That's usually when I choke....LOLOL

That's it! I can't take it anymore! I am bowling tonight! I will have manual scoring and manual pin-spotting and no curtain (just means there may be a few extra holes in the sheet rock from flying pins) but I am bowling. Tim, this is my official confirmation, who do I report my scores to?
