  • Pegboard layouts

Found some software online but I think I'm just going to lay the tools out on the floor and swap around until I find a layout I like. Just wondering if anyone out there has pictures of their tool wall to share. All of the centers have a tool wall but it really isn't that organized.

Here's what I did in my home shop to keep pegs from pulling out when the tool is removed.

Use .020 wire, about 6-8". Guide thru hole below the peg so it comes out the hole just above. I put a 90 bend in the wire about a 1/4" long, then another bend that matches the distance between the 2 holes. When it gets to the upper hole grab with a needle nose and pull enough thru to go around the peg, twist the two ends together. Get it tight. trim off all but a 1/2" of the pig tail, then bend the pig tail so it doesn't stick out to avoid being scratched by it.

Could possibly use a wire staple to secure it to the board.

Great ideas guys. This is why I hate pegboard...You touch one thing, and three others fall off.

I like the tips but I'm really looking for how everyone has their tools arranged on the board. If you have a peg board or tool wall snap a pic and upload it. Curious to see how everyone has their wall organized.

Although I must say the hot water urn in teh photo has since passed away since the photo lol.....

And I use peg board also, but don't really have the problem of tools or pegs falling off, I slightly bend outwards the hooks before inserting them making them a little tight....

Nice and organized Pin Head, love it.

At my center on a Monday morning, had to find most my tools that had not been put back during the weekend.

No. The smaller tools like Alan keys, screw drivers, socket set and some of the less use tools are stored in a metal cabinet against the opposite wall. They also have a particular location on the shelves, and it's death to those that do not put them back in the exact same spot each time.

Here's how I laid out my tool wall - I used sheets of 16mm MDF (dynabolted to wall) instead of pegboard :

Not even going to post a picture of our set up at my center haha. We just use a huge craftsman tool chests. Pretty much 2-3 sets of every hand tool.

                              *sigh* Hello friends..

I had a 4:1 go bad and I've never seen or done one before. Trying to search the depths of the forums, YouTube videos, it didn't seem too bad....

Adapting the Bluffton end cap & terminal board kit to Franklin BE (and FE) motors.

Left a rant about this in the bowling forum…

I’ve already repaired a a number of Franklin FE motors using the Bluffton-style end cap and terminal board kit (090-004-582)....

At what thickness do you replace the clutch face.
Is there a minimum dimension from the clutch face to the rivet.

                              Thanks...

Is anyone running the solderless relays on the accelerators? How do you like them? What brand? How difficult to convert was it? Would love the feed back as I'm about to switch...
