Craftsman has a nice polished wrench but I don't care for the regular ones. Mac and Matco are another good wrench. I prefer Snapon as they tend to hold their value more than others and if I ever choose to retire they would be worth much more.

Snap-On since day one. What my father used all his life also.

                  Bad poll, LOL.

"Which hand tool do you PREFER?"

How about "Which tool do you USE (and afford to own)?"

I LOVE snap-on stuff. I own a bunch of it. Family serious has enough money in Snap-On stuff to sell off and buy a NICE house! (seriously).

But realistically, I own 5 to one, other brands to Snap-On. Com'on folks who can really justify the "occasional use" tool to have the name snap-on on it? Ok now the low use tool, Snap-ON? Prolly no justification there either. (Looks DAMN nice in the tool chest tho!)

"Keeping up with the Jones'" is the big factor that Snap-On has for it. Its a GREAT tool, don't beat me up for that but $ for $ it will get lost just the same but hurts more.

Resale value, hands down, Snap-On. How many people actually buy a tool for its "resale value"?

Gearwrenches are great to use.I have a set of mini hex keys for those tight spaces.Normally i stay with crafstman tools but for those special tools i like.
I also use a circuit finder since most breakers here are NOT marked or have been re-wired to something else, this way i can plug into an outlet and run the wand over the breaker to find the correct breaker.
Ball joint fork to remove lower ball wheel guide rollers which pops off any frozen rollers faaaast.
ALL of my tools are marked so that the boss knows what is mine, when i came to this ummmm, place tools we're very hard to find and lacking of proper tools!
Also have a 90 degree angle drill which is awesome for removing/installing the gearbox clutch adjusting bolt, does a fast job of it!

Agreed, and inventory of the day to day tool box would really tell the story.

For my personal tool box, It's Snap-On's, but the tool board at work it's mostly Craftsman or less.

The tools were here when I got here. Mostly Snap-On, but whatever they are they all came form Grainger.
